While the working hours in Japan can be extreme, as a country known for working 80 hours a week. A trial in New Zealand saw an increase in productivity by 20%. The reports stated that overworked employees are tired and easily distracted.

Reducing work hours leads to higher output and happiness.

Employees who are happy at their workplace are more engaged.

Engagement relies on the employees’ internal motivations aligning with the companies. An engaged employee is more likely to be motivated for the company to succeed.
